Indethnic — About Us
Made for the life you're actually living.
There's a gap in Indian fashion that most brands talk around but never quite solve.
The craft is extraordinary — Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh, Ikkat from Odisha, block prints from Rajasthan, handloom weaves passed down through generations. The fabrics are world-class. The artisans are brilliant. But the clothes made from them were designed for occasions, not for everyday life. You'd wear them to a wedding. Then they'd sit in your wardrobe.
Indethnic was built to change that.
Indian craft. Designed for your everyday.
We take the DNA of India's finest craft traditions — the weaves, the prints, the techniques — and express them through silhouettes you'll actually reach for. Co-ord sets, easy tops, well-cut trousers, layering pieces. Clothes that work at your desk in the morning, at dinner in the evening, and everywhere in between.
Not ethnic wear for occasions. Indian craft for everyday life.
We believe a beautiful garment should also work hard.
Every piece we make has to pass a simple test: does it fit well, drape beautifully, have pockets where you need them, wash easily, and earn its place in your wardrobe? If not, we don't make it.
We're a bootstrapped brand — small team, high standards. We don't cut corners on fabric quality or on the stories we tell, because both are how we earn your trust. When we say a fabric is handwoven, it is. When we say a technique takes two days, it does.
The story is part of what you're buying.
We believe you deserve to know where your clothes come from — the region, the technique, the community behind each piece. Not as a marketing exercise, but because knowing makes the garment mean more. When you understand that the print on your top was hand-blocked by an artisan in Bagru, you wear it with something that a fast-fashion label can never give you.
That's the Indethnic difference: clothes that carry a story, fit your life, and feel like they were made for you — because someone thought hard about both the craft and the woman wearing it.
Where we started. Where we're going.
We started with sarees — a category that taught us everything about Indian craft and the woman who genuinely appreciates it. The response told us something important: she doesn't want to leave Indian craft behind. She just wants it in a form that fits the life she's actually living in 2026.
So we evolved. Same reverence for India's textiles. New silhouettes. Co-ords, tops, everyday pieces built for the modern Indian woman — whether she's in Mumbai, Bengaluru, or London.
We're not a heritage brand frozen in time. We read what she needs and we move with her.
Clothes that carry a story, fit your life, and feel like they were made for you.
