Blue Yarn is a 2-piece coord set in handloom cotton — a boxy V-neck kurta in a bold woven vertical stripe (sky blue, dusty terracotta, and white in varying widths), paired with solid sky-blue wide-leg palazzo pants. The stripe is woven into the fabric, not printed on it. The palazzo is in the same sky blue as the widest stripe on the kurta — and the same blue as the solid cuff finish on the half sleeves. The colour connects twice. Quietly.

Kurta: 100% Handloom Cotton — bold woven vertical stripe in sky blue, terracotta, and white. Palazzo: 100% Handloom Cotton — solid sky blue plain weave. Both breathable and easy to wash.

Craft

Handloom woven stripe — the blue, terracotta, and white colours are woven into the fabric in varying widths during production. Each colour is a different warp thread arrangement. The result is a stripe with natural variation and texture that a screen-printed stripe simply cannot replicate.

Care

Hand wash both pieces separately in cold water. Colours may bleed slightly in the first wash — particularly the terracotta stripe. Wash separately. Do not wring. Dry flat in shade. Iron on medium heat on reverse.

Each coloured stripe is a group of warp threads dyed and arranged before weaving begins. The width variation between stripes creates the visual interest — wider blues flanking narrower terracotta bands. This is a labour-intensive arrangement that takes skill to set up correctly on the loom.

WASH CARE

Hand wash both pieces separately in cold water with mild detergent. The terracotta stripe on the kurta may bleed slightly in the first wash — normal for handloom cotton with natural dyes. Do not wring or twist. Dry flat in shade. Iron on medium heat on the reverse side. Do not bleach. Do not machine dry.
